GEORGIA HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTER MOLD ASSESSMENT
PROJECT BACKGROUND
bTech was retained by an international hotel group to conduct a mold assessment at a large hotel and conference center. The assessment included 250 guestrooms, six suites, a conference and fitness center and an indoor pool.
THE CHALLENGE
The remediation and restoration work had to be completed fast track to minimize the impact on guests and hotel revenue.
THE EXECUTION
bTech conducted the Mold Assessments of 250 guestrooms and utilized their unique mobile laboratory system to collect and analyze air and surface samples immediately at the project site. Laboratory data and remediation work plans were provided within hours which allowed the remediation phases to begin immediately in the 193 guestrooms identified to be impacted with mold growth. bTech provided ongoing direction to the remediation contractor throughout the remediation work.
RESULT
As remediation work was completed in each room bTech conducted Post Remediation Verification Assessments to ensure that all mold growth had been removed, building materials were dry and that the air quality had been restored. bTech was able to provide clearance data within hours to allow the room to be handed over the restoration crews and allow the rooms to be returned to use in the fastest possible time.
The hotel was able to stay open during the entire remediation process with no disruption to guests.
