Thomas S. Barczak, Jr. CIEC
Co-Owner, President, CEO, and Co-Founder
Thomas Barczak brings extensive experience to his role as president, chief executive officer and co-founder of bTech Environmental Consulting. As the organization’s visionary leader, he defines the company’s long-term business strategy, drives organizational development, and delivers measurable results through the effective management of the customer experience.
Prior to launching bTech, Mr. Barczak worked in the indoor air quality industry for more than a decade, gaining extensive experience in consulting on environmental issues, performing assessment surveys, and managing remediation projects. Mr. Barczak has the experience and training to conduct indoor air quality assessments, identify mold and moisture origination, and develop mold and moisture remediation procedures. He also played a key role in developing bTech’s on-site, mobile environmental laboratory and technology.
Mr. Barczak has directed and supervised more than 1,000 remediation projects ranging from residential and commercial buildings to public-use facilities such as hotels and schools. He is a Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC), a certified laboratory microscopist through the McCrones Research Institute in Fungal Spore Identification program, and a member of the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA). Mr. Barczak received a license as a mold assessment consultant (MAC) from the Texas Department of State Health Services and studied biology at Purdue University.
Stacia K. Barczak
Co-Owner and Senior Vice President of Operations and Finance
As senior vice president, Stacia Barczak is an effective business leader and strategist who oversees all administrative, accounting, and financial functions of the company. She provides end-to-end management of bTech’s financial strategies to ensure the company’s financial viability and directs marketing and business development activities.
Ms. Barczak's other responsibilities include setting business objectives in conjunction with the president and executing those plans and budgets to increase revenue, profitability and market share. She also builds industry partnerships and communicates with customers, staff, and partners to ensure that customer expectations are often exceeded.
Ms. Barczak is a highly organized and professional self-starter and team-player. She has demonstrated skills in large-scale event and conference planning, marketing publications, leadership training and skill building, international affairs, university residence hall management, staff supervision and mentoring, crisis intervention, conflict resolution and mediation, grant-funded program execution and reporting, budget stewardship, travel planning and logistics, website design oversight, academic and interpersonal counseling, university course creation and instruction, and group advising.
In addition to her role at bTech, Ms. Barczak is an adjunct faculty member in Liberal Arts and Sciences at Ivy Tech Community College where she teaches student success and first-year seminar courses. Prior to her career at bTech, Ms. Barczak worked in higher education administration at Michigan State University, University of Toledo, and Chatham College. She holds a master's degree from the University of Toledo and a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.
